Sara LeMone Mueller, LEED AP

Born and raised in Columbia, Missouri, Sara LeMone Mueller has had a love and appreciation for all things design since childhood. From hand-drawing wallpaper and rugs for her dollhouse to redecorating and re-arranging her room any chance she could get, her eye for design has always been apparent and was cultivated by many facets of her upbringing. Both her grandmother and mother have had a huge influence with their appreciation for antiques and effortless style that combined history with modern functionality and practicality. The imprint made by her land developer & general contractor father’s attention to detail and love and knack for finding solutions for challenges with ease is indelible. Visiting job sites at all stages of construction since before she could talk further propelled her love of design.

Sara graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Design Studies (design management, interior design & business) in 2008 and immediately started studying for the LEED AP (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design Accredited Professional) exam upon graduation. Within a few months, Sara became one of the first accredited professionals in Mid-Missouri. She began her career in commercial general contracting & construction helping get projects LEED certified, managing projects and designing commercial interiors. In her spare time, she helped friends and family from everything from simply choosing paint colors to providing full-service interior design on large scale remodels. After nearly 14 years in the commercial general contracting world, she decided it was time to pursue her love and passion for interior design full-time designing beautiful, functional interiors.

Sara enjoys finding beauty everywhere, sometimes in the least expected places. You’ll often find her scouring estate sales or auctions for one-of-a-kind pieces or antiques. She lives in her hometown of Columbia, Missouri with her husband and two young children.
